This course is designed to provide students with an understanding of common diseases afflicting the organ systems of the human body. Students will have a thorough understanding of common diseases associated with the integumentary system, musculoskeletal system, respiratory system, circulatory system, lymphatic system and cancer. The description, etiology, signs and symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, prognosis and prevention for each disease will be covered. Students will have research assignments that will require the use of medical references and resources.
